Magnetic
gauges
Magnetic gauges give a clear accurate reading of liquid levels without
requiring close inspection.
They are particularly useful for corrosive liquids where a conventional
flat glass reflex or transparent gauge cannot be utilised as the
fluid is entirely contained in a stainless steel chamber carrying a stainless
steel or titanium float.
The level indicator is a separate unit clamped to the outside of the gauge
chamber, and the liquid level is transmitted from the float in the gauge
chamber to the indicator magnetically.
This transmission is constant, reliable, and requires no source of external
power. It also allows the fitment of magnetically operated reed switches
to the chamber either individually as level switches, or in a chain to
provide a level indication.
By varying construction of the float, gauge chamber, and indication rail,
Simco magnetic gauges can be tailored for almost all applications:
