Level Gauge Valves

Simco valves have been specifically designed for use with liquid level gauges and are available in a wide range of materials, for temperature and pressure ranges to meet most specifications. Valves are available in both straight and offset pattern designs and have a selection of vessel and gauge connections to fit a variety of mounting requirements.

A standard feature with Simco Valves is the automatic safety ball check. In the event of the glass breaking, the ball check seats to prevent the loss of vessel contents.
All valves may be repacked under pressure with the back seating arrangement ensuring complete shut off.

Simco series 10 valves are inside screw designed valves where the spindle threads are in contact with the liquid. The valves are preferred for saline atmospheres and are available with a wide range of features in both offset and straight pattern designs.
Series 10 Valves are available with union, solid shank or flanged vessel connections.

Simco Series 20 Valves are outside screw and yoke (OS&Y) designed valves and are used for high temperature or corrosive liquid applications. The OS&Y design isolates the spindle threads from the liquid and is available with a wide range of features in both offset and straight pattern designs.
Series 20 Valves are available with union, solid shank or flanged vessel connections.

Type 27 Offset Design, Union Gauge Connection

Offset pattern: Valves are designed so that the drain and vent connections are offset from the vessel connections.
By removing the drain and vent plugs, the interior of gauge chamber may be cleaned without removing the gauge unit from the vessel or system.

Standard Connections:

Vessel: ¾" NPT Male, Drain/Vent - ½" NPT Female, Gauge - ½" NPT Female.

Optional Connections:

Vessel: ½" NPT male, ½" or ¾" male for welding, flanged to suit customers requirements.
Gauge: ½" or ¾" NPT male, ¾" NPT female for valve types. 23, 26,13 and 16.
